The LSERM method teaches students the steps they should follow when they sit down to study and, as indicated by their acronyms, are: reading, underlining, outline, summary, review, and memorization. This method will allow the student to learn the key concepts of a specific topic. Here, we’ll discuss how to study fast without forgetting.
Steps on how to study fast without forgetting
1 – Reading
The first thing you should do is read the text completely. A quick reading skill without going into details will allow you to obtain an initial synthesis of the topic to be studied. Then you must make a more comprehensive reading of the text to understand the subject and content. The comprehensive reading should be detailed, attending and reflecting on each idea. If you do not know a word that does not allow you to understand the idea of a paragraph, look it up in a dictionary.
2 – Underlined

With the underline, you will avoid wasting time when it comes to studying the subject again. Thanks to this you will fix and focus your attention on those key points and make a quick but effective review.
There are some types of underlining:
a – Linear underlining on concepts or ideas.
b – Crimp underlining: Make annotations outside the text or write 2 or 3 keywords that summarize the idea.
c – Underlined with signs: Use conventional signs or own marks to mark important ideas, aspects that are not understood, etc.
